§ 86-134. Entry at minimum of appropriate grade

(a) For new nonexempt employees; exception. All new nonexempt employees will enter at the minimum of the appropriate grade unless otherwise approved in advance by the human resources/civil service department to the maximum in hire by the commissioners court.
(b) New exempt employees; exception. All new exempt employees will enter at the minimum of the salary range unless otherwise approved in advance by the human resources/civil service department to start above the minimum to - 0.04 percent below the midpoint, and above - 0.04 percent below the midpoint by the commissioners court.
