§ 82-551. Policy statement

(a) The county is committed to providing a safe working environment for its employees and will make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees are not injured while performing their job duties. If an employee is injured, the county will comply with all requirements of the Texas Workers' Compensation Act and will assist the employee with his recuperation and return to work efforts.

(b) Safety must be an integral part of each job in the county. Employees are expected to work safely and follow applicable safety policies and procedures. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
